It’s Sunday and today, for once, no morning walk. Instead, we had an early breakfast.

As an amusement, the neighbour and his bull did an interlude with a bath in the sea for us, during which I left my breakfast and ran outside with my camera.

Then a few pictures of where Gerlinda left her mark in the garden area through fruit trees, plants and flowers.

Yesterday we had planned a visit to Sibulan for filming and were able to do it. We also paid a visit to the well-known Jo’s Chicken Restaurant. The restaurant is located between the National Highway and the sea. From the shore, you can very well look over the short distance to the southern tip of Cebu.

This morning we went for our walk, hunting for some onions. The ones we found were small and cost 7 pesos each. Back home, the electricity had already been switched off for this Saturday and it was not supposed to come back until around 5 pm.

Actually, I wanted to edit the video about Sibulan today. But then I had to reschedule. So we set off to explore the hinterland of Dauin a bit more. I had heard about a steel bridge painted yellow and we found it.

Afterwards, I wanted to visit the drinking water reservoir, but unfortunately we unknowingly drove past the unsigned dirt road and I didn’t want to drive up the mountain again.

So we visited Dauin with its municipality hall, plaza, church and public beach. The church was locked, but two young people from the church community had keys and gave me a special tour of the newly renovated church of Dauin, with the lights on, which made it shine in a special way. Last but not least, I was escorted to the top of the church tower. So high I didn’t venture out, that’s not for me.

After waking up, the view from the bedroom over the sea.

After returning from the morning walk and breakfast, we are ready to check out the place Sibulan.

Sibulan is a pretty, lively place with a municipality hall, opposite which is Rizal Park, which replaces the plaza here with a modern tourist building, a playground also in use, the beautiful church. There I could watch how the wax from burnt candles is recycled. Next to it, two piers for ferries over to Liloan, Cebu. Of course, I also visited the small, lively market.

Then Jo’s Chicken and the garden area opposite with the statue of the Virgin Mary, but that’s another series of photos.

In the early afternoon we were back home and there was one of the diving boats right in front of us that you can walk over to.

What do we get here? Four line men of the electric utility company? NO!! That are several very young zip line users at CAMPO JUAN in Manolo Fortich.

Our lovely Fritzie is arriving at the zip line station. Since she is too young to fly the zip line alone, some of the extreme friendly staff of CAMPU JUAN is assisting in a tandem ride.

Fritzie’s younger brother is arriving in the next tandem flight.

Now the two awaiting with their grandma the arrival of ‘Hapon’ and his Mom.

Here they come. All managed the zip lines with bravery.

Before the zip lines last stretch, they had to manage the hanging bridge. Wow, in the middle of the bridge Fritzie lost all her courage, but finally every one of our youngest group ever managed to reach the end point of this very exciting and adventurous task.

Bravo Fritzie, Darius, Hapon and Mom.

After that, they had been awarded with a meal, coz the driver (me) was very, very hungry.

Low 93W passed overhead yesterday and this morning with light rain and is now already west of Negros despite still widespread cloud cover.

During yesterday’s morning walk, Gerlinda had the opportunity to make friends with the neighbourhood bull.

When we returned, the gardener was already busy cutting the carabao grass.

In the time when it was not raining, Gerlinda continued to work on her flowers and plants, which are all still waiting to be planted.

This morning, the morning walk was cancelled, but we were able to take our time and watch the latest news on TV.
